- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (for cookie layer)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
- Make the brownie layer: Mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Combine with dry ingredients.
- Stir in chocolate chips. Spread the batter evenly in the pan.
- Make the cookie layer: Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
- Add egg and vanilla. Mix in flour and baking soda.
- Fold in chocolate chips. Drop spoonfuls over the brownie layer.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the edges are set. Let cool before cutting.

- Use room temperature ingredients for even mixing.
- Do not overbake to keep the center fudgy.
