2. Varicose veins
Varicose veins are a common venous disorder in which the vessels (most often in the lower extremities, sometimes in the arms) become swollen and twisted.
Signs:
dark blue or purple, visibly prominent veins
burning, itching, or throbbing around the affected area
leg cramps or fatigue
Risk factors include heredity, pregnancy, obesity, and prolonged standing.
3. Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
DVT is the formation of a blood clot in a deep vein – usually in the lower leg or thigh. Although the clot itself is not visible, it sometimes leads to bulging superficial veins due to impaired blood flow.
Warning signals:
